The York Society is proud to host the annual York Art and Craft Awards again in 2023. We have an optional theme,
'Good as Gold' in acknowledgement of the 50th Anniversary of the York Society's involvement with the arts in York. Judges will be selecting the best work, over all categories, which depict the 'Good as Gold' optional theme, this additional prize is worth $500.
The awards will be held over 9 days from Saturday 07 October – Sunday 15 October in the historic York Town Hall.
Entries open on Tuesday 20 June.
Entries close on 12 September 2023 at 5pm, late entries will not be accepted.
Stallholders you may, if you wish, set up in time for the evening preview or choose to only have your stall on Saturday 7th October:
Evening Preview - Friday 06 October from 5.30pm (set up from 3pm) and
Opening Day - Saturday 07 October 10am - 4pm.
How to enter (where you see words in bold click on them for further information)
1. View the Entry Conditions,
2. Submit the artists declaration and complete the online entry by clicking on the relevant category tiles below and proceed to payment.
Junior entrants’ fees are reduced, please ensure you use the individual categories (18yrs and under) if applicable.
We would prefer that all entries and payments are processed online but if you are not comfortable with this process, you can download the 2023 Entry Form. All artists need to follow the delivery and packing instructions and attach the Artwork ID Forms to your work.
3. If choosing depot delivery, do not add this until your final entry or the website will add them together.
4. Check the FAQ's section before emailing your queries, we have included information on the Blandstown Award and craft stalls.
