THE ACT-BELONG-COMMIT
YORK SOCIETY
ART & CRAFT AWARDS

In October or November of each year the Society holds the annual Art and Craft Awards which originated with the Craft Awards in the York Fair in 1973. When the Fair ceased in 1984, the Craft Awards continued and in 1989 Art was included. The Awards hold an important place in the Western Australian Art & Craft scene and now attract around 300 entries each year from some 150 artists and crafts persons.
