The York Society Research & Archival Centre The York Society Research and Archival Centre is the hub for local history research in York. Our extensive collection of documents contains a wealth of research material on the many aspects of York's history. We can provide information about where they may have lived, what they might have done and where they may have gone. Separate rooms are available for private research or our volunteers will carry out your research for a nominal fee.
Fees & Charges
Initial Consultation to determine needs of the client - $25. This will allow for an initial 1.5 hours of research. Further research will then be $25 per hour and/or by negotiation for extended research.Members will be charged $20 for the same services.
To use the search engines at the Archives, individuals must be able to work independently.
Corporate Fees:$35 per hour.
