Readings from her lively account of life in York in the 1860s, to be held in Holy Trinity Church, York, followed by a visit to the Rectory to see the original kitchen, followed by afternoon tea.

Each walk is fully researched and the last two walks (Churches and Blacksmiths) will be given for the first time. The walks and dates are: · Convict York Walk: Saturday 25 September 9 am; Saturday 9 October, 9 am. · Death Tour (formerly the Horror Tour): Sunday 26 September 5 pm; Saturday 2 October 5 pm; Saturday 9 October 5 pm. · Architecture Walk: Monday 26 September, 10 am; Sunday 3 October 10 am. · Avon Terrace Walk: Saturday, 2 October, 10 am. · Churches Walk: Sunday 3 October, 2 pm. · Blacksmiths of York: Sunday 10 October, 10 am. These details are subject to change. All walks are $15, with $10 coming to The York Society and the remaining $5 being paid to The York Festival for marketing. Children free. All walks start at Botanicalia, 152 Avon Terrace. All walks are 2 hours except for the Convict York Walk which is 3 hours. There is a limit of 50 people per walk (not including children).
